Yay, they are finally done and I am happy with the results. Our main goal was not to disturb the look of the earrings when they were completely assembled and I''m so happy that my jeweler was able to accomplish that! Now I have three different looks that I can wear which makes them so much more versatile. Sorry for all the pics coming up but I wanted to show what was done and the different ways I can wear them.

Here is a pic of them prior to any work.........

And here''s the after shot. He put a teeny tiny hook on the bottom portion that you really can''t see.......

And here they are separated. You can see the tiny hook here........

And here''s another view.....

If I want, I can wear the top section by itself. Here it is separated from the bottom........

And here''s an ear shot........It''s so hard to get these ear shots, lol.

If I want to wear the bottom section all I have to do is slip on a jump ring over the hook.........

Catmom,
I love what your jeweller has done. You now have so many different looks it’s like owning several sapphire earrings that you can wear for different formalities.

I know, it''s so cool. I''m trying to show the looks but I keep getting error messages errrrrgh!

Ok once again!! Here''s a shot on my hoops. I think I might need to get a size smaller jump ring though for when I wear them this way......

Yay, finally worked! Here''s an ear shot with the hoops........

cmsblusapphireearrings8.jpg

And here''s on my stud.........

And the last one I promise! Ear shot on my stud..........

how about as a pendant?

wow, catmom, what a great idea, with amazing results. enjoy!

Very nice! The jeweler did a good job of separating them. Do you have a supply of jump rings? I would be afraid of losing them as I swap them out.

Wow, your jeweler did a great job. I love how the bottom part looks on studs! They''re so much more versatile this way!

What a great idea to make your earrings so they can be worn different ways. All the different configurations are beautiful.

Wow, Catmom, these are amazing! I''m going to have to save this whole thread to keep all the ideas of how to get so many different looks. Very practical, and very beautiful!

How cool! So versatile!

God they are breathtaking! I must have missed the old posting where you spoke about the sapphires. Can you give me a link, please?

Thanks enbcfsobe! I guess I could wear one as a pendant but I already have one that''s a pretty close match.

Thaks Kismet and Novel!Ha, I only have the one set of jump rings. I guess I should ask him for more, lol. He did tell me that he would have never done this for any other customer but I have pretty nimble fingers so he figured it would be ok. [How he thinks he knows that I''ll never know.........

Thank you oddoneout! I really like that I can wear them so many different ways.

AustenNut, that''s so kind of you to say!

Amazing transformation. I hope that some type of "stopper" goes on the hook when it''s connected to a jump ring or to the rest of the earring.

Very cool and I love the jewelry imagination you have!!

How lovely!!! I love the versatility!

Ho Catmom! Those earrings are splendid! Congratulations!

Thanks ma re!

Aww thanks so much Linda my friend. I really appreciate your kind words!

Stone Hunter, thanks! There is no stopper but the hook is fashioned in somewhat of an "s" shape. It is not easy to get on and off so I don''t think there would ever be a problem with anything falling off. I have to laugh at the "the jewelry imagination". I do keep my jeweler hopping, lol.

Thank you vc10um and stci!

Talk about options! What fabulous earrings. As usual, your hubby and jeweler rock
