San Antonio?

Hi,
Is anyone here from San Antonio?
I am planning on proposing to my girlfriend on a surprise trip to San Antonio.

We will be there over the weekend of Easter. We will be staying on the Riverwalk.
Anyone have any good ideas of outdoor places that would be appropriate to "pop the question"?

Hhmm...

I''m in Houston, but it''s been a while since I''ve been in SA.
There are river barges that you could go on - maybe that
would provide an opportunity. Maybe a dinner cruise on one for
just the 2 of you?

Okay. There is a small island on the river there (you will go right by it on the river boat tour). Ask about it. It is very popular for people to get married on that spot. I can''t think of a nicer place to propose. Maybe you could charter your own boat - take a bottle of good champagne and some stawberries. Spread a blanket under the tree on that little island (I mean really little). You could "hide" the ring in the bottom of her champagne glass! Then you have the whole River Walk filled with shops and restaurants. Its great. I love San Antonio!!
