Wedding Sad about invitation vendor

This is going to be a vent/moping...

Last Saturday FI and I went to see a lady who sells custom wedding invitations. We were really impressed with her, and her work, and I was really excited to work with her. She told us she would have a quote ready for us on Tuesday or Wednesday. Well, Tuesday passed, and and 4:30 on Wednesday, and nothing. I sent her an email to follow up, just in case we wrote down my email address incorrectly, but still no response.

Now I''m upset. I shouldn''t be upset, because we do have a backup plan for invites( DIY invites -- nowhere near as nice as her''s), but I''m dissappointed.

I don''t know if it''s the crazy coming out or the bridezilla coming out. In any case

I still have some hope that she''ll get back to me, since Wednesday is not over, so please send dust -- lot and losts of dust.

Can you call her instead of relying on email? She may be having computer issues or a family crisis or is sick or something.

That''s a good idea. If she doesn''t get back to me by end of day, I''ll give her a call tomorrow. I sure hope she''s alright!

Tons of dust! I am sorry..sometimes people are a bit harder to get in touch with and it is something to consider. My photog is great, but he is kind of hard to catch because he is so busy and his secretary seems to be busy, too. It drives me nuts..but I''m putting up with it because I wanted him.

Oh well. Hopefully it''ll work out.

Sarah, it's funny you mention that, because my photographer hasn't gotten back to me about when would be a good time for me to fly back to NYC for our engagement photoshoot, and still hasn't. I spoke with his wife, and she said she would call me back in a few hours. That was yesterday. I'll call them tomorrow too. Like you, I really, really wanted this guy.

The wedding is getting close, and I'm looking at my to-do list, and I'm getting very nervous

I understand COMPLETELY..ahhh and scheduling our e-shoot was a hassle, too. He can only do certain days during the week and considering I can''t exactly miss class for photos..and FI has to work..well that was difficult, but I finally found a date.

I hope he gets back to you soon! I can''t seem to remember, when is your wedding date?

Well, she hasn't gotten back to me yet, but here are my options.... First, pictures of option 1. Mine would be shimmery white on the outside, with snoflakes printed in a grayish/silver color. On the inside it will be red with silver lettering. It's printed using Japanese silk screen printing, and it looks fabulous

ETA: Insead of islets (sp?) there will be a a ribbon/bow.

Here is the DIY option. I found these at Michaels. The outside is ivory, and the flower design on has a velvety texture. They come with everything, and all we''d have to do is print the inner card. These aren''t themed, but are very pretty.

Update:

I got an email from the invitations vendor this morning, confirming our invitation count.

I feel much better!

pjean - Thanks, and I don''t mind at all! She hasn''t given me the quote yet, but we gave her a budget of ~$300 for 100 invites. So, I''m guessing it will come to somewhere around there. I''ll update this tread once I get the quote .

lliang_chi - I will definitely update this thread when I get my proofs and/or invitations. I can''t wait
