So going through my boxes (can you tell I'm bored?) I found that one. I bought it many many years ago in Vienna from an antique store. I just liked it. I just knew that I love jewelry, but didn't know much else about diamonds an Co. I hardly ever wear it (maybe I should...). However, I was wondering if anyone might be able to date it. Art Deco? The diamonds are so tiny I can not see their cut. It is stamped 585.

It's gorgeous! I love it. I don't know how old it is but you should definitely wear that beautiful ring on a regular basis!

Late reply but I was searching for rubies! This is so gorgeous! I think it’s Edwardian. Are you wearing it more?

585 signifies 14kt gold. Unfortunately without any other markers I’m afraid that’s all I can add ❤️

Thank you all! It is lovely and I still like it. In the meantime I‘m quite certain it is synthetic ruby. Would that apply to Edwardian time?

Yes I think so, but the color of synthetic rubies is often nicer and I don’t think it meant that the jewelry was cheap. Your ring looks beautifully made.
