Hi all

A much needed re-vamp of a dated ring set into something more sleek - so happy with the result!

Nice transition!

Very tasty, inventive and modern.

gaaah! this is GORGEOUS! who did it for you?

YUM!

Absolutely stunning! Was it your idea or did you work with a jeweller? It''s very very very nicely done.

believe it or not Jewelryhoo off ebay did it for me - i just asked him to make sure that it wasnt thin underneath the ring and not light with the gold.
the ring weighs about 4 grams or so (just guessing cos i dont have scales) and its exactly what I asked him to do. Very happy!
I was scared of posting stones over but it all went without a hitch.
Total cost including shipping - $185
My jeweller charges me like $80 to set one stone so i figured what the heck... Anything jewellery related here in Australia is pricey so what i got for what I paid there is no comparision, especially locally.
I got him to make me a bunch more semi mounts to set some loose diamonds in that ive had poking around and im thrilled with the result. I have to say, WAY better quality than LOGR and not as expensive.
Some ppl havent had the best experiences with ebay sellers but Im lucky enough to have avoided any issues thus far.

hmm now its not letting me upload photos... i''ll try again later

great recycling!

It looks much better after the redesign: it doesn’t scream 80s anymore.

That turned out so pretty...I really like the organic feel of it.

Very tasty ring.

That is incredibly amazing!!! I once asked him about a semi mount and he told me to send my stone over and I was very relunctant, but now I see it is possible! looks fantastic!!!!

Wow, that''s a remarkable transformation! And Jewelryhoo did it?! I''m very impressed! I hope you post hand shots.

I love, love, love! this ring! I can''t believe its Jewellryhoo! How wonderful

What an amazing transformation! I really like the design. Any chance of seeing a picture of it on your hand?

Very nice!

That turned out fantastic! Can''t believe the cost of it, and I''ve had great luck with my jewelryhoo settings, so I''m impressed to know that this is an option!

wow -- that''s impressive! my birthstone is ruby and i''ve never really liked it, but this is a pretty cool way to use it as part of a design rather than as a single focal point. i''m a big fan -- enjoy!

Gorgeous! I love how it flows.

lozzarina -

where in australia are you? i''m australian, tho i live in NY now. but i still send a lot of my jewelry BACK to autralia to get it done with my jewelry there, as i have a terrific jeweler. great prices, too. but they''re in springwood, outside of sydney. if you''re in sydney, let me know - and i''ll refer you.

my experience of australia vs US re jewelry is that the stones in aust. are WAY more expensive, but the workmanship is cheaper.

but your ring reset was a steal in any country!

gorgeous :)
