I need to get a wedding RSVP card back asap but have no idea what the heck to fill out. Here is how it reads:

The favor of your reply is requested by X date.

M_________________

__ I accept

__ I regretfully decline

What the heck goes on the M________ line? Help!

Thanks

That's where you write your name so they know who sent it back. Mr. Mrs. Ms. etc. It does look kinda silly when it's just layed out like that with an M____________ but I guess it looks more formal and wedding-y than Name:___________ Haha

That is the place where you fill in the name of the person or people who are attending the wedding or declining. The outside of the invitation envelope should indicate who or how many people were invited and thus should be responding. For example, if the envelope is addressed to Mr. and Mrs. Jones, you would write on the line John and Jane Jones accept or decline. If the envelope says Ms. Jones and guest, you would write on the line Jane Jones and Mike Moon (the guest) accept, or just Jane Jones declines.

Basically, put the name of the person or people so the bride and groom can determine who is attending or not attending the wedding for headcount and place card purposes.

Awesome! Thanks muchly

This is correct. Its the start of Mrs, Ms., or Mr.

So when I receive a wedding invitation I write our "rs Clairitek and Mr Clairitek" on that line since the M is already there for me.

the M__________________s always sort of look weird to me too!
