Is there such a thing as a poorly cut royal Asscher?

Not that I know of because they have very tight parameters to cut to in order to consistently get the look.

+1
If you're looking at a "Royal Branded Asscher Cut"- the branded stone- the parameters are very tight, and you won't find a badly cut example- if you can find one at all.
That's an important point.
If you're looking at a generic Asscher, yes, there's a lot of badly cut ones.

I'm just making sure because I've found one, and it is priced like a generic stone. Has GIA report with laser Royal Asscher inscription.

I've emailed Lita Asscher to see if she will confirm serial number and diamond specifications. Fingers crossed!

Good luck!

Lita Asscher confirmed the diamond specs and serial number!

Bought it! So excited. Looked at half dozen generic asschers that were beautiful, but when I saw the Royal Asscher it was love. It is being set with two step cut trapezoids. Over the Moon!

That is so great! :appl:
Now you have to post something, specs or pics.

No pictures yet, but here are the specs:

4.19 ct Royal Asscher
9.17 x 9.18
65.8% depth
56% table
J color
medium blue floresence
Polish excellent
symmetry very good

I can't wait to see it.
