What does the GIA report state for "Shape and Cutting Style" on a Royal Asscher? Thanks.

many asscher cuts are described as ''square emerald cut'' but the royal asscher is listed as ''cut corner square step cut''

Thanks very much for the info. I am looking at a 2.75 Royal Asscher and although it does have the crown and words Royal Asscher inscibed on the girdle, along with a specific number, I wanted to make sure the GIA report was not supposed to say Royal Asscher. After a little more research I now know GIA does not certify a brand name. Thanks again.

I suppose the mention of the Girdle inscription is an ID, because some non-branded stones are labeled the same - these are basically ''emerald cuts'' with some more steps.
