Hello,

I am looking for any designers who use a rounded 4-prong setting for the solitaire ring. My girlfriend likes one setting from Michael B (the "paris" setting), but I was hoping to look around for comparable settings from other designers. Does anyone know of a ring or designer where the prong "basket" is basically rounded (as in attached link?) I have searched long and hard but all of the prong settings I come across are either "V" shaped, or crossover, or in some other way angled.

Put differently, I am not looking for the twin of the ring that is attached, but if anyone knows of a sibling or a first cousin I would be very grateful to know where I could find it.

Many thanks in advance for any replies.

sorry, here is a better picture of the desired "basket" setting (attached)

thanks

Thanks for your thoughts and ideas. The basket on the Whiteflash ring that you posted is a bit too square. However, I went to the LM website and it looks like he''s done some interesting pieces. Perhaps I can go see him (I am in New York).

Correct me if I''m wrong, but it seems like Whiteflash and LM both generally have pretty good reputations? And it appears that while LM is kind of a diva, his work is high quality.

They both have excellent reputations, and I think either could work with you on a custom project, or modification of an existing setting so that it has the roundness you want.

My favorite of the 4-prong basket settings is the one from Brian Gavin Diamonds. In fact, this was my second option after their Truth setting. Here are the three pictures...
