Round Stone Advice

The first one would be the nicer stone. Better numbers and larger mm. That would be my choice.

Thanks, I was leaning toward the first as well

Agreed, limited to just those two, I like the one with the smaller table. The second, even though it's s 60/60 stone, does have higher color and clarity going for it though.

Are there any others you're considering? What's your budget, if you don't mind us asking? The 0.50 carat mark is a "magic number" that carries a price premium. In that sense, it's as important if not more so to ask what size you're seeking, rather than what weight! Going down like you did to just below can capture a wider range of good stones.

I'd be open to anything that is eye clean. I am fine with going down to a J on color, but would like the stone to perform well. My budget for the diamond is between $1,000 to $1,500 plus the setting cost.

Have you reached out to the James Allen service reps? Theyre very nice and super helpful. I recently purchased a .69 J excellent cut SI2, totally eyeclean from them, list price 1560, got it for 1500 by asking for pricescope discount. I had a list of a bunch of stones I was interested in, but that was actually one they suggested to me once they saw what I was looking at. I'd check with them and see if they have anything similar, the J posted by tyty is no where near as nice as the one I got from them for just a tiny bit more. If they don't have anything better, I'd hold out and see if they get any additions to their inventory in the next few days/week.

Thank you all for the help, I appreciate it. I will reach out to JA and see what they recommend.
