Round Solitaire Engagement Ring Search... Overwhelmed.

I'm sure this isn't the first post, nor will it be the last but I'm struggling.

I'm in search of a solitaire engagement ring, with the following criteria (but open to ideas as well) :

Shape: Round
Size: 0.95 - 1.25
Cut: Ideal
Color: I - G
Clarity: VS2 - VVS1
Mounting: White Gold Solitaire
Budget: ~$6000 -$7000

I've been through all of the local stores (ShaneCo, Kay, Helzberg, Jared, etc) and they all have their special exclusive diamond; like the Leo from Jared which is ho-hum in my opinion. I'm just a bit overwhelmed and hate the feeling, especially since I feel like prey walking through those doors.

Any help would be appreciated!

I like to shop online.

For one, there is no sales person pressuring you or hurrying you.

You can get informed before you purchase, instead of making an emotional decision.

Also you get all sorts of options, and the prices are good.

Here's a James Allen option, next I'll look at blue Nile.

The setting she likes has an oval centre stone, are you sure she wants a round?

It shows up as a round when I open the link.

It should be a round diamond solitaire, if I posted the incorrect link my bad :)

Yeah a round would be fine, though that's the only one she liked? Its more on the budget end of the spectrum, I'm concerned the prongs might be bulky.

She's very much into the simple, classic styles (Tiffany solitaire-esque) and one would think that would make things easier..

They do have a tiffany solitaire style in your budget.

Neil - when you say "they" do you mean Blue Nile or ?

OP
JA and BN are good. However, there are other PS vendors that will supply you with solid technical info on how the diamond will perform. You may want ant ASET and IdealScope Image of the round diamond. BGD and WF can offer that to you, give you the setting you want, and stay within your budget. Have you looked at their sites with a particular stone, they give lots of info. You can also call them to discuss.
Best of luck.

Thanks Neil & everyone else for your input, it's been super helpful! I think I found the settings you're referring to on BN, it looks pretty dang close to the Tiffany & Co solitaire setting.

No, my bad. Your link is fine. I was having one of those days yesterday. I swear it showed up as an oval on my tablet yesterday! :loopy:

Good luck on your ring!
