I'm looking to purchase a round diamond to be set in a pendant. I'm looking specifically at Zoara, as I already have a setting of theirs picked out. Which diamond would you recommend - or any others on their site? (looking to stay under $2,500)

http://www.zoara.com/diamonds/p_round_excellent_cut_g_vs2#p=464762
Carat: 0.80
Cut: Excellent
Color: G
Clarity: VS2
55% table + 62.4% depth

http://www.zoara.com/diamonds/p_round_excellent_cut_g_vs2#p=568926
Carat: 0.80
Cut: Excellent
Color: G
Clarity: VS2
56% table + 59.5% depth

PS: Does anyone know if Zoara offers a PriceScope discount? :) Thanks!!

Those diamonds have EGL grading which is known to be inaccurate. Please look for stones graded GIA excellent cut and we will try to help you. I have never heard of Zoara and they are not PriceScope vendors, so I would not think they would offer any kind of discount related to PriceScope. Do you know people who have bought from them? I generally would not order a diamond off the internet without having some very reliable references. Can you show us the setting?

JA diamond, .82ct J color, VS2 clarity GIA EX cut - Stone is $2800ish with PS discount.

You can stand to figure this stone is what it actually says it is with the GIA cert.

Here is a .75ct G SI1 thats 3100. again its GIA cert and something you can count on.

Really? I honestly have not seen that ad. I looked on the link below before I replied the first time and they weren't listed. So I just don't know. But I have never seen anyone post about them before, so I would be hesitant. If I were you, I'd probably just contact ID Jewelry, tell them you are a PS member looking for an excellent cut diamond and email them a picture of the pendant design. I am betting they could easily order one like that. Plus, they will use idealscope to screen stones for you.

Is AGS certified okay (vs. GIA)? Also, I've never ordered from Brian Gavin - have you had experience with his company?

I just "discovered" Brian Gavin last summer, and my e-ring, studs, and huggies are from there. All of their diamonds are SO sparkly!! However, I would recommend just calling them rather than emailing, as that might get you in touch with them faster.

I just did a .80 pendant from Whiteflash... AGS 000 J VSI.... the price on the James Allen diamond is really good... I would go there versus the EGL stones you were looking at.... I think the J is lovely in a pendant.... and I am color sensititve...
