Certificate upload is pending bc I ended up downgrading color from I to J.

The stone is a GIA certified 1.24ct J color very good cut excellent x2 for polish/symmertry and SI2.

A friend and I looked at the stone and neither could see the an inclusion. I don't have a picture. The certificate is attached.

What are your thoughts on the price?

can't really tell about the diamond by just the report. but you can easily find excellent cut ones with that price.

I am having a hard time reading the angles & numbers on the report... Can you see them? Try running them through the HCA,

also - some comparables...

This one has an HCA score of .8 which means the cut is ideal (read up on HCA and what it means) - 1.24 J SI1 5857
I think this stone has more potential in terms of cut quality, potential for eyeclean-ness, and price.

The HCA on the stone posted is 0.9. I really liked the jeweler I was working with, but he didn't stock much in the 1.25 carat range and that was what he had in store. He also offered free setting, ring maintenance, ect which is a huge plus for me than straight from blue nile.

I thought it was slightly high on price @ 6500.

My minor problem is the setting is from blue nile (custom to be yellow gold) with limits of ~7mm and 62.7% depth due to an integrated head. My stone budget was 9K, but I am finding much more limit by size than price.

I also had planned to propose Feb 29 but I think I might trade on the stone (at least temporarily if I order from Blue Nile) for my planned proposal. I don't know how much this jeweler would work with me if I wanted to upgrade or change again.
