I was hoping for an SI1 to save some scratch but there doesn''t seem to be one out there. WF is looking at it tomorrow for pics and such, and I''m hopeful that it will meet my expectations and if anything it might surpass. Will I have buyers remorse? Not sure...

Everything looks great so far!

I don''t think your numbers are right.

what might not be right?

a bit of a shallow crown and a shallow pavilion does not a deep stone make.

You''re right. I don''t know what I read that PA as before, but, yeah.

Now that I think about it, I could have sworn it was 41.2...

So this means that this diamond will look shallow and unpretty? Amazing how all the numbers look fine in all the calculators, software, and certificates, yet common sense makes this out to look shallow.

I thought it may have been too good to be true. Guess I'll wait and see and the worst is that I will be out the 55 dollar shipping fee. Hrmph.

Actually I think I did report the pavilion wrong, 40.7 degrees is more like it, but is it still shallow?

Have you looked over all the numbers on the report, to make sure you typed them on here correctly?

40.7 pavilion, sorry....still no good?

No, that''s good. And especially if it''s an AGS0 with the light performance. Should be a pretty stone!

According to your numbers, it is not in the AGS 0 or GIA Excellent range. Please correct me, if I''m not viewing this properly.

Did you see the PA correction?

phew...you really had me worried

and indirectly my girlfriend...after eight years of dating I dont think she will wait much longer

Well, something still doesn''t add up, in looking at the HCA with it. I ran it through for the heck of it, and it''s not falling in AGS territory at all, barely making GIA Ex.

What is the date on the report?

I ran it through too and youre right the specs do seem off for AGS0. Does table size change where these specs define ideal on the HCA? The report is dated March 7th 2007, so its recent and not under the old guidelines right?

I'm waiting for WF to get back to me, yesterday when WF got the measurements from the vendor I wasn't able to write them down and the cert is a poor fax...

I did...I believe it's a .9 on the HCA with good stats, but is outside the AGS and GIA parameters. What gives

I think it may be the CA that's off.

Yeah, something''s off.

pyle, it''s most likely either the crown angle, or pavillion angle, or both. Is this stone listed on their site? I couldn''t find it.

Strange it didn''t come up in my search. Anywho, you are right, that scan is horrible. The PA is correct at 40.7, but I honestly can''t tell what the CA is, although it does look like 33.??.

And it is an AGS0 with 0 light performance. So I''d wait to hear from them, but I''m thinking it''s fine.

Is the stone being brought in for you? If so, WF will look at it and give you their opinion on the quality. I put a magnifying glass up to my computer screen and still couldn''t make out the CA. The scan makes the stone look like an oval

And I magnified the scan online, looked at it, and THEN took a hand held magnifying glass to it and it still looked like scribble.

It is being brought in for me tomorrow. we shall see. I hope all goes well because I think the price is right if the specs are right.
