So you believe that all those rough diamonds are D, VVS1?

Not sure what you are asking.

What in the world makes you think ANY of these stones would be graded D/VVS1, even if that were the way rough diamonds were graded? For that matter, why do you believe that they’re even diamonds, that they’re a legitimate product of Cameroon and that the stones in the photo are the stones you will get if you pay the money?

To call this a fishy deal is an understatement. If you want to make a charitable contribution to the good people of Cameroon, there are better ways to go about it.

Could someone tell me the real price for some of these rough diamonds if they are purchased from a trusted vendor,i want to know the real price because like you said this is a scam

Ummm looking at the rough, don''t see any that would yield a stone of that size or clarity... RUN.....

If you are asking these questions here then you should NOT be buying rough diamonds.

They will eat you for lunch.

Retail prices on rough diamonds range from about $40/ct to well over $1000/ct depending on the details of the stone that are not included on your price list. Ebay consistently has hundreds of offers to choose from.

For example, here's a 2.11ct stone being offered for $35.

Transnational trafficing in rough diamonds without the proper paperwork is illegal in most countries, including both Cameroon and the USA by the way.

This is a field that will eat you up and spit you out in a nano second if you don''t know what you are doing... Plus you will lose your shirt along the way without the education and connections.. I say stick to your day job.... I know it sounds harsh, but it''s true...

Nope, no one is born with experience. The folks who have it got it through years of investment and hard work and often under the tutelage of relatives who have been doing it for generations. Here's a book on the topic that’ll set you back WAY less than $640. By no means will it make you an expert in the diamond business but it might answer some of your questions about how it works. If you decide it's for you, the guys selling the book operate a fairly well regarded school that caters to people trying to get into the industry.

I’m reminded of a bumper sticker that I see from time to time:

If you think education is expensive, try ignorance.

I can think of few places where this is more true than the rough diamond business.

Its not a silly post, its good that you wanted to confirm first before forking out precious $$$ and getting yourself in trouble later.
