Rose Petals

I plan on proposing to my gf in the Dominican Repubilic and I wanted to put Rose Petals in our room. Now come the questions:

1. Should I get burgundy or red (burgundy is half the price) or even another color
2. How many should I get- 1,000 or 2,000 (I don''t know how much each will cover, but I just want it sprinkled from the entry way and maybe some on the bed- not heavy)
3. Do you think its okay I''m getting silk ones

I''d say either rose petal color is fine, go for burgandy if it''s a little cheaper, you''ve already spent significant cash on the ring!

I''d err on the side of more, if they''re not expensive.

If you have candles out and dim lighting, it iwll not be glaringly obv that the petals are fake. If my FI proposed to me with fake rose petals I wouldn''t notice them b/c I''d be really excited. Plus, you have to fly the stuff out, so fakes may make more sense anywyas.

I'm proposing on the beach on a walk before dinner, so this would be when we come back after dinner. Hopefully I can get some champagne sent to the room ahead of us... 1000 is $10, 2000 is $20 (for burgundy). Also, I wanted to get her some bridal magazines for the plane ride back. Which ones are the good ones?

You can go to any newstand or drug store and they will have sooooo many bridal magazines.....see if they have the martha stewart one...so many great ideas in there. you are so thoughtful and your proposal will erase the bad v-day
