What sort of optical performance do rose cuts typically have?

Rose cuts are "candlelight" diamonds. Their major optical performance is scintillation, light reflecting off the surface facets.

Are you thinking of buying one Cehrabehra? I love rosecuts. I have pear shaped rose cut pendant and it gives the occasional flash of fire as well as the scintillation that Richard mentions. There are some tiny round rose cuts set into the bale and to be honest, they don''t do much at all, but the bigger pear shape is really pleasing to look at, especially in low light. My friend borrowed it to wear to dinner once and I sat opposite her so I atually got to see it for once.

I think Cehrabehra was helping me out with a ring I am considering (thanks!)

What do you rose cut experts think of this-3 carat prong set rose cut eternity ring?

Why rose cuts in a modern style?
also be careful if you plan to wear the shaed claw one beside any other rings as it could chew through them.

I wasn''t looking for rose cuts specifically. I was looking for an eternity ring and found the rose cut one and really love it.
