But what do you think?

Hi and welcome to Pricescope, you are missing the crown and pavilion angles from the cert.

hello! and thank you...

i looked up the GIA online and that is all it had listed

That is probably because it was and old report. From what I understand, only stone after 2005 have the crown and pavilion angles measured. So maybe you should get the store to do a sarin scan for you to get the angles or get it independently appraised before you agree to buy it?

Also is the price inclusive of the ring?

With just the numbers you given me, it looks like a good buy but not sure of the quality of the cut so it could be a dead stone for all I know. Did you see it personally?

Hi Jaylex

The diamond is a bit shallow and the table is on the large side, I would ditto getting a Sarin if you can, also check the diamond out away from the store lights to see if it still appeals to you. It is likely you could find a better cut diamond, compare with some AGS0 cut grade if you can to see how this measures up.

yes. the 18k white gold ring is included in that price. No i haven''t seen it personally... just photos that i can''t seem to post to this forum.. it looks beautiful in the pics..

and I do have a money back guarantee.

grrr... i thought we had found one.

I am working on getting a Sarin report.
Thanks for the help so far!

Ditto to what everyone else said! From the info provided it looks like you could do better. Getting more info helps, but in the meantime I second Lorelei''s advice. Look into some AGS 0 stones. GIA''s cut grading system is no good anyway. I unfortunately know from experience.

Jaylex try giving the file a really unique name and if your program has the option, a lower quality. If for example you''re using Photoshop, in the ''save as'' function if you pick .jpg, the last option is ''image quality'' set on medium and the file size will be drastically reduced. Most of the times images won''t post because either their name has been used already or the file size is too large.

Good luck!

There are size limitations on what you can post, and also the name must be unique, you do not say what the name or size of your file is or what type of file it is.

If worst comes to worst you could follow a link to one of the vendors here and ask them to size and return the photo to you in an attachable size and format.

P.S. at 3,500 for the stone alone that is a little better than 25% back of Rap, so you will not be getting an AGS 0 cut diamond for that price.

There is something about this diamond, either the cut or the date of the certificate that is leading to its being sold for such a low price. You must feret this out. Sometimes it is that the diamond does not look good out of the bright lights of the store. Or it could simply be that the store has owned it forever and wants it gone, or it could be an estate or divorce sale, or ...

Well, the good thing is that the diamond will face up looking larger. It would be nice if you could see the diamond in person to see how the depth effects the appearance.
