I'm turning a quarter of a century in a week, and I'd like to buy myself something sparkly for the occasion. I don't wear a ton of jewelry, but I LOVE my bezel pendant and would like to buy another that's just as wearable, but mix it up a little.

Roberto Coin 'Tiny Treasures' Circle Pendant

I'm thinking about this. I find it hard to spend $$$ on myself, but am happy when I splurge on a classic piece that I end up wearing constantly- I just need a nudge.

So...what do we think? Classic or trendy? Good or 'eh' quality? A must-buy, or should I keep looking?

I highly value all of your opinions. Thanks in advance!

Oops! I just realized this might be better in the ''Jewelry Pieces'' thread...

Hi Ebree,

I am a Roberto Coin fan, I have something like 20 of his pendants and I have to say that the quality is pretty good, but you don''t get much carat weight for the price.

Having said that, I have only lost one diamond from all the ones I have and only because I let my daughter wear it since I got it, she would not give it back to me once I let her try it on, and she is only 8, so I knew there was a chance something might happen.

I would not buy it from Nordstoms though. You can get it for a discounted price from Toppersjewelers.com and from badler.com. Plus depending which state you live in, you won''t have to pay the sales tax.

The one you like is very popular and it is very small, so try to compare it to the next size over and see which you like better. I think it is a classic piece and something you will wear always.

Thank you, butterfly! I'm actually not planning to buy from Nordstrom- I found another jewelry store that has it for less, without tax (I'm in OR) or shipping! But I'll price them at the stores you mentioned as well.

I'm glad to hear it's small- I like smaller pendants! I wish I could see it in person, but I can envision the size- one website lists it as 2/5s of an inch, which I'm liking the size of.

As for carat weight for the price, do you think I could do better price-wise? I don't necessarily want more carat weight, but a lower price is always good! I'm just worried about losing quality with price.

Hi Ebree,
I am sure you can get the same carat weight for less, but I like RC, so I would just get the RC one, esp. if the difference is only something like $100 or less.

But that''s me. Some people would rather pay a little less not to have the brand name, esp. since they can get the same carat weight and quality, but since I actually collect his tiny treasure pieces, I want it to say RC.

Although I have to say, I have had more than my share of bargains on his pieces.

All of his tiny treasures now have a little ruby that is suppose to rub against your skin for luck. The ruby is bezel set and the table rubs against your neck, which I think is kind of cool. My older pieces don''t have them.

I saw that bit about the ruby, which I thought was very cool. And I just got a great price quote (compared to Nordies) from Toppers, which sweetens the deal even more! Thanks for that tip!

Ha, ha, your welcome! I got my circle pendant from them as well, thanks to the help of slammie. She was the one who pointed them out to me as she bought her RCs from them as well and she got her lovely pave set custom made there too!

Here's another option. I'd order the .20ctw:

Flower Cluster Pendant
I was going to suggest this pendant but I wasn't sure if you were set on a circle pendant. The RC circle pendant is beautiful but since you don't get much carat weight for the price, not sure I would get it. Ever since I saw the flower pendant on AmberGretchen at a GTG, I've loved it! It would certainly be more worth it in terms of carat weight and you gotta love those ACA's!

But from far away, the flower pendant wouldn't look that different from your bezel pendant. The circle would. So it depends on what look you want.

Happy early quarter of a century birthday!

Ellen has that lovely pendant; it is quite beautiful on her when I met her (El I hope you don't mind me posting it)

. Also when she and I were shopping, we looked at the Roberto Coin and the pendants were also very beautiful and sparkly! Ebree I can't wait to see what you end up with!

ooh, I like that too, I don''t think you can go wrong with either one. Don''t you wish all decisions were this hard?

Thank you snlee and Skippy!

Skippy (or Ellen), do you know the ctw of that flower pendant? So far, the only one I've seen on a neck (besides that one) is AmberGretchen's, but it's .50ctw and I'd be getting the .20ctw. Do you think .20ctw would be too small?

butterfly- Indeed! I love this stage, though!

Hi Ebree, it looks like Ellen got the 7.mm (.20 carat) according to this thread w/pics of it https://www.pricescope.com/community/threads/my-wf-scattered-diamond-band-present.78931/ the pics are halfway down the page and on page 2

Sure thing honey, I am excited for you!!!

I''d just like to chime in and say that I love the flower cluster, that really seems like a timeless piece!

Thank you, somehowcollide!

I wish I could just make up my mind without overthinking everything. I'm waiting on a single quote, so if that's over my budget, I'll make a move in one direction or the other. Now, which direction shall it be?

Such a difficult decision!

Well, I did it! WF Flower Cluster Pendant in white gold, .25ctw.

I wasn''t sure which I was going to choose until Jamie at WF sent me two gorgeous photos of the flower pendant: one of the pendant next to a nickel and one of a neckshot. I''d post the nickel shot here, but I don''t have permission (yet).

Hopefully I''ll get some photos of MY pendant in the next couple days to post!

Yay!
