A bus trip to Hell ...
Thousands of roaches pour out of air vents and drop onto passengers in Greyhound bus. :knockout: :knockout: :knockout: :knockout: :knockout:

(CNN) -- Roaches crawling out of air vents. Roaches climbing up seats and windows. Roaches on people's coats and hats. Roaches everywhere.
It sounds like a scene from a horror movie -- but is in fact what passengers say happened on a Greyhound bus journey from Atlantic City to New York on Friday.

"There's like a thousand roaches," passenger Dawn Alexander told CNN affiliate WABC. "And when I say infested, I mean infested. People were in the aisles literally brushing roaches off of them."
"We thought it was one. It turned out to be a whole house full of roaches," said a fellow passenger.
"I sat down -- roaches started crawling up on our clothes, falling down from the ceiling. Everything," said another.

Cellphone footage shows the pests scurrying across the bus floor and steps.
Greyhound's Media Relations Director Maureen Richmond said the bus driver had acted swiftly when passengers alerted him to "bugs on the bus."

"He immediately pulled the bus over and radioed our dispatch office for assistance," she told CNN.
"A second bus was immediately sent to continue the trip into New York. We have spoken with each passenger and provided full refunds."
Greyhound has apologized for the inconvenience to the 48 passengers on board the bus, which departed Atlantic City around 10 a.m. Friday.

"We are investigating how they got there -- in bags or from the bus," said Richmond.
What caused the insects to start pouring out of the air vents about 15 minutes into the journey is not yet clear -- nor what Greyhound plans to do to get rid of them.

Alexander told WABC she was sitting in the back of the bus when she saw those toward the front starting to panic.
"Then after a while, the panic got towards the back because we all started looking around and saw roaches crawling everywhere," she said.

Well great. I'm already itching all over after reading and watching this. That driver would have had to pull over and let me off had I been there. Seriously.

Imagine this happening on a jet over the ocean, hours from land.

NIGHTMARE!! It's the movie Snakes on a Plane. Shudder.

OMG, that is like one of my very worst nightmares. I am terrified of bugs (especially roaches ughhh!) and the thought of having so many that they are actually everywhere and crawling on you and there is no where to go to get away from them just gives me the heebie jeebies!! Those poor people! I would have freaked out and gone right for the brakes and gotten the hell out of that bus faster than you could say stop the bus! No way I would have remained calm. No way. ;(

I saw that online. :errrr: :errrr: :errrr: :errrr: :errrr:

O.M.G. This is so gross! :knockout:

Those poor, poor people. This would be my worst nightmare.

I have what I consider to be a very rational fear of roaches. The other people in my life consider it irrational. I once convinced myself there were roaches in my old house by reading about them on the internet. (there weren't.) I tore out of my house like a bat out of hell, purchasing every type of container possible to enclose our food and hired an exterminator.

no roaches.

I still wasn't convinced.

I was never happier than the day I moved out of that house. I swore that I could smell them.

My youngest son thought it would be so funny to buy this little plastic cockroach from the dollar store and set it in various places in order to frighten me. It worked too many times. I finally threw it out when he wasn't looking.

I can handle anything else and actually quite like spiders, used to keep them as pets when I was a kid (I really needed a dog.) But roaches are frightening. I can't even watch hoarders because of them.
