Hi everyone, do any of you have a real life Ritani Romantique setting that you''d like to show off? I''ve attached an online image of the one I''m interested in. It would be some much more helpful to see some additional pictures though, and none of my local jewelers carry this particular design. Thanks so much!

I don''t have the Romantique, but I tried it on over a year ago at a local jewelers and absolutely fell in love with it. I *think* I''m eventually going to have my princess cut diamond reset into it, unless I change my mind and I''m notoriously fickle. It''s really a gorgeous ring, IMHO. It''s not too blingy and it''s sort of understated, but the antiquey feel is lovely.

I''ve attached a pic I found of it that shows a different angle than the pic you have. The stone in this is a CZ, FYI.

Thank you so much, I do appreciate that you went and did a search, and I appreciate your feedback from seeing it in person as well. I''m going to do a quick online search myself, I''m hoping to see this one from as many angles as possible, including on someone''s finger if I can get so lucky.

I love the antique look to it.

Is there a Ritani dealer near you? I really think the only way to judge a setting is in person.

I completely agree. I want to be able to see this ring in person. The problem I''m running into is that the Ritani dealers near me do not carry this design in house, and they have all expressed reluctance at bringing it in without a sale basically guaranteed. I don''t want to make this guarantee, and once I decide that this is the setting I''m truly going to go for, I want to be able to shop around on price.

I know the response would be to just have them bring it in, and whatever happens happens. These jewlery stores can be pretty intimidating however, and knowing myself, it would be an uncomfortable experience.

On top of all this, I contacted Ritani directly. They have no other images to show me, other than higher resolution versions of the pics currently on their website.

Thanks to all,
Mike

This is a setting that I''ve recently discovered. It''s slightly different from the other looks I''ve liked (primarily bead set diamonds across the whole band with the solitaire on top, or similarly with channel set). But it has the engraving that I love, and I also really like that its diamonds on the band are bezel set. From all the research I''ve done, this would be a really good, practical thing to have for people who wear their rings 24/7 and don''t coddle them as much as some PSers do. I spoke with my local jeweler who carries Ritani and the sales lady said she''d see what they could do about getting a ring in for me to try on. Perhaps there was less pressure to guarantee a purchase since they''re the only one in the state who carries them. But she''s going to call me tomorrow to let me know what''s going on after she speaks with Ritani. If it does come in I''ll try and take pictures and post them.

Beautiful setting.

Where do you plan on purchaising the diamond from? If decided, I would inquire if the vendor carries Ritani and this setting. If so, perhaps they could "loan" you the sample setting for you to view. I did this with my future setting.

Thanks AustenNut and Collee for your input. AustenNut, if you do happen to get those photos, would love to see them. I''m not sure where I''m getting the stone from as of yet. Perhaps I have my priorities backwards, but I feel like it will be much easier for me to secure the stone I''m going for once I decide once and for all that this is the setting that I want to pull the trigger on.

Still no luck as of yet getting photos or seeing this in person. I''m still making phone calls to local dealers though.

Have you contacted Pearlman's Jewelers? They are a PS recommended jeweler with a great reputaiton and they carry Ritani and will MAIL you a setting to see and try on before you buy it! Call and ask to speak to Julien, be sure to mention PS when you ask about the price

I went to the jeweler today and tried on the Ritani Romantique. If I was doing a diamond center stone then this would be a definite contender. But it does not enough bling to highlight my sapphire the way that I would like, so it''s not the setting for me. I did snap a picture of it though. Let me know if there are any questions I can answer. FYI, I''m a 5.75 ring size, and I think Ritani sent the stone with a 1.4ct center (though I''m imagining it wasn''t diamond...maybe CZ?).

Don''t know why that didn''t take. Here''s try #2.

Trying it as a PPT jpg.

Wow, I can''t get past the fact of your jewelers ... shall I say.. lazyness... I simply can''t believe that they would not jump at the opportunity to get you whatever that you wanted to see without guaranteed money in their pocket! I''m sure Ritani has "examples" of all of their settings just as all of the other reputable designers do and have them distributed throughout their dealers and with a little work you could be easily satisfied.
I guess I may only be so stunned because the jeweler that I found that was an authorized Verragio dealer (there is only 1 in my state!) was more than happy to arrange whatever I wanted. I actually was working on a custom ring at one time and was combining the styles of 3 of their most popular and newest designs and the jeweler arranged for all three of the rings to be sent to the store so I could see them all at once. (2 came from Verragio and the other was at one of the other authorized dealers in CA- Im in WI)
If I was in your shoes I would try to search for a different Jeweler that carried Ritani (even if it was a little distance out of your way)

Good Luck!

That sounds so stupid. What a ritani retailer is supposed to do is contact ritani for you and have them send over a sample. Do they or do they not want a satisified customer!!! My SIL just got a ritani bella vita and they contacted ritani and had them send over almost all their halo settings just so that she knew she was making the right decision! I say go to a different dealer or go back and demand that they help u. Its YOUR money and you shouldn''t feel intimidated by the jeweler. They should be doing YOUR bidding. And making you feel special.

Anyway, what dreamer said is very good! Contact pearlmans and see what they can do for u! I''m sure that they will take good care of u. Heard great things about them!

Good luck!!!

Btw, are u on the west side?

I don''t really have much to add beyond that this is a gorgeous setting, it was absolutely my favorite of the designer settings I tried out, and I shamelessly stole its "scattered diamonds over engraving" element for the ring set in my avatar.

And yes, a retailer shouldn''t have any problem getting a sample in for you if you''re genuinely interested in buying the Romantique. You''d think they''d be happy to have a potential designer sale literally knocking at their door. Ritani ain''t cheap. So that''s a little strange.

I just came back from the local mall and BB&B liquidation where I picked up the more detailed Romantique semimount at 80% off suggested retail. In platinum with .23 carats of diamonds bezel set along the 3 sides of the shank. This is a nice "blingy" semimount. It's model number 1R3087AR...might be worth checking out.

I tried to insert a photo, but it won't let me. Maybe because this is my first post!

I am not engaged, but love the precious stones and have a "bad" habit of buying what I want for myself.

I''m a solitaire girl but I love this setting

- you''re right, it''s not too blingly or ''over the top''

I apologize in advance, I just joined the forum today. So great to find others who love jewelry and diamonds. Here is a side view of the Ritani Romantique that I bought today at Bailey Banks & Biddle liquidation for 80% off retail. Have already been in touch with Ritani who said they will continue to work on the ring, any service will be a minimal charge....since I saved $2300 on the ring, a minimal charge for sizing or setting stones, to assure the integrity of the ring, is fine with me.

Here''s the "front" view of same ring.

Hi everyone! After some time, I''m finally ready to pull the trigger on this setting. The only item that''s concerning me are the bezels on this ring, and the possibility that they may pop out in the future, especially with some wear and tear (my gf''s job requires her hands getting wet regularly, although, now that I think of it, this should be no different than washing hands on a regular basis).

Do any of you have experience with this ring and bezels popping out? I''d like to minimize any repairs down the road. I also have the option to customize this without the bezels (wedding band included), however, i do like the bezels and would like to keep them if bezel-popping is not deemed highly likely.

Thanks all!
Mike

Bzels are the safest set diamonds, but any ring will require occassional maintenance. If it helps, Ritani is known for its amazing quality so I think that the odds of maintenance are lower than with many other settings. And they likely offer maintenance as part of their warranty, though you would need to check this.

Really beautiful setting!

Wow seriously gorgeous setting!

Beautiful
