Ritani Princess - questions...please help!

Hello,

I''m in love with the ring that JLC604, Mara''s friend, Neatfreak, all have...and am desperately trying to find it for my gf of 10 years.

My gf and I went ring shopping two weeks ago at one of the two Ritani dealers in our city and were both convinced that we''d found the "one" and it''s all we talked about during the last two weeks. It was in princess & WG. Then yesterday we went to the other store to try it on again and confirm that this was "it"... We tried on what we were told was the exact same ring in a RB/platinum because they didn''t have the other setting and it just didnt look the same..the bands looked different, the sparkle was different, the ring just felt different...and neither of us liked it

Could it be that the stone shape/metal is causing this or that they may be different rings? The product codes that both places gave us were the same but they looked those up in a book.

Here''s the question...
do the people above (and anyone else who has this) have:
a) The Ritani Setting ring - 1PCZ3296CRP - with a channel setting shank 0.62 ct wt
OR
b) The Classic Setting ring - 1PCZ1966DDRP - with the micropave shank

Also, is the channel setting ring as thin? How does it compare bling-wise? Does it feel as rough as the micropave setting?

I am not a ritani owner but I did research a bunch of their settings when I was looking for my upgrade. Neatfreak and Mara''s friend ring''s are the ritani endless love ring and have the micropave shank. a ring with channel set rounds will look different than a micropave ring. it''s just a personal choice as to which style one prefers. I like the micropave personally. the channel setting would probably not feel as rough. most who own micropave rings say they get used to the rough feeling very quickly.

I don''t know why the same setting could look different at two different stores other than I''ve heard that Ritani did change the style of the endless love and do not make it any longer like mara''s friends ring. So, one store maybe had the old version and one had the new one and maybe that is the difference? I''d just order it from the store that has the version you like.

I wanted to also add that a setting can vary slightly when accomodating different stone shapes so that could also be some of the difference you are seeing.

You may be right - the shape of the stone might have made the difference.

Both stores say the setting is current even though they look different.

I''m a little nervous ordering the setting in case I get the "other" setting.

Do you know of any one on pricescope that has the channel setting one? Is that the one JLC604 has - her post says "Ritani setting"?
