Hi All!

I think I''ve narrowed down the e-ring to two choices, and neither my b''friend nor I are sure which one we like better. The ones I like are both around the same price $10,700.

If I got the solitaire, I''d probably get the matching band for each side. I don''t think I need the bands for the 3 stone since they are mostly hidden by the stones.

Which do you like better...the round 3 stone endless love or the round solitaire endless love? I know its a personal preference, but I just can''t decide.

Thanks so much!

Here is the solitaire...

Personally, I''d go with the solitaire/halo Endless Love ... IMO the single halo will always be "classic" whereas the halo''ed three stone might end up looking very Fall 2005. I think it would also bug me that it doesn''t look "engagment ring"-y. Thirdly, I''d want a bigger stone rather than three smaller ones. Fourthly, the one ring will be a lot more versatile over time.

The only advantages to the 3 stone that I can think of are : takes up more finger real-estate if your fingers are very, very large. Def. won''t be a lot of other ones out there as engagment rings.

Have you seen THIS ?

you have a fellow 3-stone Ritani bearer...

That is my post! Thanks for showing it to her.

I vote for the solitare for an engagement ring. I have the 3 stone, and just got it for my 10 year anniversary. It is meant to be an e-ring, but I love the 3 stone look and fell in love with the Ritani. Like I said in my other post, I had 2 people comment on my "engagement ring" but I have had tons of other comments on my "wedding ring".

IMO, the 3 stone is not typically an e-ring style and I think the solitare is much better for that purpose. You can always upgrade at a later time like I did! Oh, and I got two matching eternity bands to go with my 3 stone, one on top and one on the bottom. It looks SO nice! As soon as I get them (had to be ordered) I will definitely post some pictures. Good luck with your decision, both rings are gorgeous!

Oh, I forgot to ask in my other post~ did you say the 3 stone was around $10,700?? I got mine for around $7,000. Maybe you can find yours elsewhere for less? Good luck :)

These are all very good points. Thanks so much!

Ritani does have a 3 stone for about $6,500, but they have another one that has larger stones for $10,700...which is comparable to the 1 carat solitaire. Since I think b''friend is willing to spend $10K, I''m going to take him up on it :) Also, I''m no petite and I have large/long fingers.

I''ve been trying to tell him that big girls need big diamonds, ha ha.

I love them both, but the 3-stone strikes me as more of an anniversary ring (and you can bet I''ll ask for it when the big 10 comes around, like Jill!). They''re both absolutely classic looking to me, but I''d go with the solitaire if I were you.

What size stone are you wanting in the solitaire?

What a fun dilemma!

Personally, I vote for the solitaire. The 3-stone is LOVELY, but to me... the solitaire is a no-brainer. It''s a CLASSIC. YUM!

Another vote here for the solitaire. The three stone is lovely too, but more of an anniversary ring to me anyway.

Thanks all! I''m looking at the 1 carat for the solitaire. The 3 stone ring has .70 as the center stone, but I can''t remember the weight of the side stones.

I think it really is all a matter of personal preference. My three stone Ritani just came back from being sized this past weekend and I''m definately glad that it was the one my BF picked out for me. We had looked at some rings and I thought we had decided on a 1ct square emerald solitaire, but then he totally surprised me and when he opened the box it was like **BLING** I''m usually very simplistic and that''s why I thought I wanted something kind of plain and elegant like a mirrored stone, but I have since changed my mind. :-) I looked at the WB''s and the other eternity line when I went to pick up my ring and personally I didn''t like the solitaires "as much" (I mean they are still all beautiful) because I didn''t love the look of a super skinny band w/ a big halo in the middle, the three stone covers the width of my finger so the band isn''t as prominent. Mine is the smaller version, but i have pretty small fingers (4.5) and anything bigger would have been too much for me. I live in Virginia and I took my ring into Finks on Saturday for them to send to Ritani to be sized, It was sent off Monday and was back in the store on the following Saturday which was great b/c I told them I just had to have it back before Christmas. Also I was afraid because I was having it sized down from a 6 to a little under a five and was worried about how that would effect the pave, but when it came back it only had a little spot like this "<>" about the size of one of the pave diamonds. Anyhoo, good luck.

1ct. Is that right? $10,700 sounds like a lot for a 1ct center stone? I haven''t priced Ritini though ... have you looked at Whiteflash''s halo design. I think you could get a bigger center stone for your $$ there for sure.
