What do you ladies do when you send your engagement ring to be worked on, re-set, etc.?

I need to send my engagement ring back to the jeweler for them to make the wedding band (estimate 4 weeks). Apparently it's so they can match the diamonds since my rings are/will be half eternity?

A month seems like such a long time to be without my ring. Does anyone wear a cz placeholder until the real ring is back? Any ideas where I could buy a nice one?

I'm in the middle of a reset for my ering and I'm just wedding my wedding band. Sometimes I change it up by wearing stacking diamond bands or my sapphire and diamond ring. No need to by CZ. Use what you have.

Personally, I would just get a piece of costume that looks simple, but still much like an e-ring. You can find all kinds of cheap stuff that will get the job done until you get it back at many of the little mall stores like Icing and Claire's, but for something slightly nicer, they carry some things at Macy's too.

I stack bands. I haven't been wearing any diamonds to work lately anyway, so I don't actually miss them all that much most of the time...

I have another diamond wedding set, my grandmother's from the 1950s. It's gorgeous! I also have a couple of Diamonique fakes for when I travel, etc. so I wear those if I have to.

I have an antique heirloom piece that I wear sometimes when I don't particularly want to wear my engagement ring, and plain silver bands that I wear when I'm worried it might get damaged. I have cz fashion rings, but somehow it feels weird to wear them on the same finger as my engagement ring.
