It's definitely not like the inspiration. . But as a whole I like it. It still has that antique feel to it. I like the overall shape of it.

I sheepishly admit I ** did** look at the inspiration but I dont remember it well enough to compare it & the wax. For what its worth, I really like the wax & the design of it. Proportions fit your finger well & definitely makes a statement.

I really like it too! Not exactly like the inspiration but has a similar feel IMO - definitely a vintage feel, reminds me of a Bevk ring.

I agree the inspiration is nicer, but I can't afford to walk away and eat $600. I'm now looking at it like this.. if I had never seen my inspiration, and seen this in the store, I'd have bought it. So.. I'm going with that. It's not identical. . It's different. . But my main goal is antique Diamond and sapphire ring. This fits those things and hubby really likes it.. which means a lot to me, because I picked my original ring. Seen it in a shop window, fell in love and that was that. So.. this time around, I'm going a bit more by how he feels about it. And I'm sure years down the road, when an anniversary comes around, we may or may not change it when finances are in a different place.

It's a lovely ring, and it sounds like you really like it too... I'd say it's a keeper! Congratulations on your new setting!

Your ring wax model looks vey promising. The finished ring itself will look more delicate and will be how you have imagined...I can tell by looking at the wax. Look like you're working with a nice jeweler. Can't wait to see your finished product and your excitements!
