I agree with this. I would want my hubby to decide it all. I am a girl who could really care less about the size of the diamond and all that. I don''t really wear jewerly at all to be honest. But if your chick isn''t like this then maybe you should try to figure out where she stands more with everything. I would just love to be surprised with everything and love whatever was given to me and all the effort put into it.Date: 2/23/2010 9:19:24 PM

For what it''s worth, I''m a guy and I chose to take full control of the process.
Everything up to (and including) the engagement is going to be a complete surprise to her. I''ve decided on the budget, diamond, setting, trip for the engagement and where it will happen. I''d consider myself a traditionalist in this regard. But, I know she isn''t a jewellery perfectionist with a narrow scope. She''s more of the type of girl to appreciate whatever she is given and appreciate the effort I put forth. Not all women are like this, so you have to decide what works best for your situation.
If I can offer you some advice... If you have some time (several weeks) to educate yourself for this process, I''d suggest you take it. The best thing I did was give myself LOTS of time. One more thing, if you''re using a nick name she might recognize, consider changing it.
Good luck!
I''d personally recommend briangavindiamonds.com they have been great to work with.
