So as some of you probably know, from my insurance posts, I lost 99% of my jewelry when I learned I had cancer---and had to take it off for testing. After a bit of distress with insurance, they replaced the one major piece...in lieu of me having to individually purchase everything at Tiffany (it was branded). Graff was SO KIND and did work on the pricing to help- and we settled.
So, I do have an engagement ring.
It is a size 7.25 and is resizable (Graff has been so kind again I cannot stress that). They saved the ring while the debating was going on.
But I am without most other jewelry...diamond earrings, diamond cross, wedding band, watch...bracelets...another necklace (hey, I wear my jewelry daily, and in fairness, told them that when I bought the policy)....
With cancer, my ring sizing has been going up and down as has my weight.
When I was UCLABelle, my first ring (hubby #1) was originally a size 4.75- then I went to a 5.25....I was about 110lbs 5'1. I am now, with cancer treatment for a number of tumors and thyroid cancer which probably caused the weight gain, I am 184lbs, still the mighty tall 5'1, and 7.25.
I would like to purchase a plain wedding band, and an eternity....but I am struggling with what size to buy the eternity ring in? HOPEFULLY I live...and get fit...do ring fingers ever go back down? I assume what goes up must come down, right? And you may wonder- well, why don't I just wait? But even if it is too small, one notion of it being a motivator, is invigorating....plus if I do get a 7.25, and get back down to a 5 or 5.5 or 6, I would have to have sizing beads? Graff said they could also add more metal???? Inside?
