If I am a 4.5 in winter but it is tighter (as in difficult to get on and off) in the summer should I go 4.5 or 4.75?

I have the same problem except I''m 5.25 unless I''m hot or I''ve had a few drinks. I went to a 5.5 for my rings and it works out just fine.

I personally would probably go for the 4.75. I hate it when my rings feel tight on my finger.

I''d err on the side of 4.75. If you add a band (or two), that will make the ring a bit tighter too.

Ditto!

I usually get my rings a quarter to a half size up too; that claustrophobic feeling of a tight ring (plus the bulgy finger around said ring) just isn''t fun. I''d rather have it spin a bit sometimes than have it too tight, even occasionally.

If it isn''t working well for you if you do go up a bit, you can always get those two speed bump things put in.

Not sure if this stone is an upgrade for you or just new...but that carat weight can be top heavy. It may want to take a spin every once in a while if it is too loose...or even loose. I would want it tight. The shank is so narrow it is just going to snug your flesh instead of bone...at that size. I vote for the smaller number because of the larger caratage.

Oh, but you should know I always limping because for some reason I think a 1/2 size smaller shoe is going to turn me into a princess...ouch...my feet hurt.

I''d go for 4.75 scant. It''s just shy of 4.75.

i actually have been thinking about this too. I measure a 3.5 but my original wedding set is a 4. it the winter the 4 is very loose, i can shake the ring off easily, but when i''m warm or in the summer it fits fine. So, i know I probably should go with the smaller size but just do not like my rings to be tight at all so I will probably opt for a 3.75. I''d suggest the 4.75 for you too.

Hi,

My finger is a 4.75, but can swell a bit, so I made a compromise and got a 4.75 eng. ring and a 5 size wedding band. My band is wider than my eng. ring, but when combined in the two sizes they fit perfectly. My fingers do swell a bit in the morning, so my rings will not come off for the first hour or so after waking up. When I put lotion on, they get all icky. lol

I just heard something on tv about that!! They also said some girls tend to buy their pants one size too small because we like the smaller number

I don''t suffer claustrophobia (not in my fingers at least!) and I hate it when my ring spins... so I''d go for the 4.5.

(It really bugs me when I see pics of Victoria Beckham wearing that stunning pear-cut diamond and it''s always sitting every which way on her finger but in the middle... arrrrrgh!).

A friend of mine lost her e-ring recently as it fell off her finger. I''d already noticed it was loose and suggested she had it resized... but she didn''t.

Amazingly, the ring turned up in the washing machine, but I can''t imagine how it would feel to lose your ring.

Better a little tight in summer than gone forever...

I would do the 4.75. My rings are 6.75 each and still a bit hard to take off during the summer months or if I sleep in them...but they are loose when it''s super cold outside or my hands are just freezing. I''d rather have the rings too tight than not tight enough..that way I don''t risk them slipping off!

I wouldnt get the sizing beads. I had those put in recently and boy is it tight. But when I didnt have them my rings were loose. Im thinking about removing them and going with a spring instead. My rings are 5 3/4 and my ring size is 5 1/2 but I got them a bit bigger so that with two it wouldnt be so tight. But in the winter my fingers shrink and in the summer they swell like sausages. Ive been wearing just my wedding band lately. and I have this beautiful 3 carat three stone ring that I cant wear with my wedding band unless I just wear it plain. My wedding band is a 5 stone. I say go with a spring. i hear they are better.
