Hi! I've been stalking this site for quite awhile but this my very first post! My boyfriend and I are begining the search for the perfect ring! I LOVE LOVE LOVE this ring from Harry Winston but would love to find one like it from a more reasonable jewler. I've attatched a picture below (hopefully!).
The things I love about it are:
1) the cushion cut center!!!! Although we are looking in the 1.5-2.2 ct range
2) the SIMPLE tiny diamonds surrounding the stone (as opposed to crazy curly cues, or boarders and such)
3) the thin band

I'd call Mark T at engagementringsdirect.com for your cushion and then have Leon Mege at Art of Platinum do the setting. Mark actually works directly with Leon so you could go through him. It can be difficult to find an amazing cushion and Mark it located in the NY diamond district. he has access to many, many cushions and is able to look at them in person without having to pay the fees for calling them. I second calling Mark T, he can get the stone, and then he has a benchman that has almost the exact setting (I tried it on) so it wouldn''t need to be custom made. I think Winnie has the same ring from Mark T...
