Ring resizing

Well the engagement ring that I purchased was the wrong size. I got a 7 and her ring size is a 6.25. Typical guy She and I would like to drop it off somewhere and wait while it is resized. We live in Atlanta and it is a 1.76 carat and has small diamonds on the band that only extend halfway down.

We would like to wait while it is resized... can anyone give us advice as to where to do this? Some places want to hold it for a week! I purchased it on Bluenile and they said it would take them 2.5 weeks to do. What is safer and what does everyone recommend?

I''d call the nicest jewelry stores in Atlanta and ask how long they take to size a ring down. Do NOT mention buying the ring online. Just have her call and say her ring is too big and she needs it sized down as quickly as possible. People on here sometimes refer to Solomon Brothers and I think there is a Bailey, Banks, and Biddle there. I defininitely would not send it back to BN.

Because they''ll say something negative because they don''t like losing business to online vendors. Better to avoid the subject if you can.

Ah, LOL - you also reminded me of that yesterday when I asked about my color situation. You are right on. That is sad they nock on it all the time. The 2nd appraisal I got today was great about saying how online is a wonderful way to go.
