I just recently ordered a beautiful engagement ring (from blue nile) and have noticed a small visible inclusion in the diamond right on the very edge. It seems like it could be easily covered by one of the prongs that holds the diamond in place but for whatever reason it is not. Is it possible to take it to a local jeweler and have the diamond reset within the same setting? Basically I want to rotate the existing diamond in the existing setting a tiny bit - and do it in a safe way. If this is possible could someone also give me a best guess at the price for something like this.

The setter might have avoided placing the prong right on the inclusion to avoid stressing it, or not as the case may be for various possible reasons. I would take the ring to a reputable jeweller and see if they can rotate the diamond if it would be feasible to cover the inclusion. It shouldn''t be too costly to have this done, not sure how much, the jeweller should be able to give you a price.
