Hey guys!

Since the camera is with the SO, and the new diamond arrived this morning, I'm biding my time until his new diamond's photoshoot. So in that time I have a question.

I've found a band that I think is totally amazing and totally fits our personality (and budget ;) ). The inside is a thin layer of rose gold covered in sterling.

I want the diamond as close to flush as possible, maybe a .5mm above the rest of the band at most. Is this doable?

Vendors pic of the diamond (which I'm totally in love with in person! It was the first time I've ever opened up the packaging and went OMG) It looks a lot cleaner than the picture would make you believe.

If the vendor ever gets back to me, I'll see if I could have him set the stone for me, but if he can't I'd like a back up plan. Thanks

Very pretty! :appl: :appl: :appl:

What size is the diamond? Because if the length of the diamond and the width of the band are correct, burnish or bezel setting the stone shouldn't be difficult at all. I'd have it custom-made from scratch according to the specs, myself, to avoid the need to replate/polish, but either way the end result should be gorgeous!

Wooo! You have set my mind at ease! Hopefully the vendor answers my questions I sent him :D

The band I pictured is 8mm wide by about 2mm thick. The diamond 6.18mm X 3.63 X 2.55. So of course it would have to be made thicker. Do you think there's enough rose gold on the bottom to help play up the yellowy orange color?

Very pretty!

Thanks AprilBaby. I'm rather fond of it myself too. Not to mention the surprise strong orange fluorescence of the stone! Oh I can't wait to secretly take pictures of this thing!
