Mrs. Jam, my pleasure! Thank you. The box is very nice because it has a locking mechanism, you have to push the button to release it and when you close the box it locks. I'm going to use the box when the ring isn't on my finger.

Thank you for being understanding about the wait! I need SO's assistance (read: for him to do all the computer/ internet stuff) and I need it on his day off when we have sunshine to work with.

I also want to make sure that we do a good job with the SMTB thread because I want it to be in the PS archives and easily accessible for people in the future who might be interested in this ring. This will be the first SMTB thread on this ring.

I feel strongly that I owe this community to do this because it's not often that I can contribute this way.

DF, thank you! The alloy they have for 18kt gold, whatever is in it, is beautiful. The best way I can describe it is- when you see gold chains at the mall and they've been dipped in 22kt gold, some cheap alloy, but they're sold as 14kt, and the color is glaring and harsh- it's the complete opposite.
