How can you tell if it is slightly too big? I feel as though mine slides around a bit but I was measured at a 5...?

Well, I guess it depends on the time of year where you are. If it is warm out and your hands tend to swell I would wait a little and judge then. In the winter my ring is a little loose and summer it fits comfortable. If it is hot right now and it is loose then you probably want it sized a little bit.
