I''ve been having the hardest time finding a wedding band to match my ering. I have 3 small bead set stones on the sides of my solitaire, and it gives the look of channel set, but when held up to a channel set there is a major difference. I''ve been looking for a band with bead set stones that match in 14K yellow gold. Having a custom made is out of my pricerange, and the band that "matches" my ering from the store it was bought from is curved, and I have my heart set on a straight band (the head on my ering is raised, so I don''t even NEED a curved band).
I found a ring today at Goldstock in Pittsburgh in white gold, but was told it can be made in yellow gold. It''s within my pricerange. It has .22 tcw of diamonds that are beadset, and the size matches the diamonds in my ering, although there are more, so they extend farther down my finger than the ones on my ering. The diamonds are g and SI1-vs2 clarity. I was all ready to order when the jeweler comes back with the bad news-- although they can make it in yg, they can only make it in 18k yg, and my ering is 14k. I don''t know what to do. I honestly can''t find any other rings that match the ones in my ering, and I''m out of places to look. I know the difference in 14k and 18k isn''t much, but I can tell a difference, and I think it would bother me. Do any of you mix the two?
