Ring Box Through Airport Security???

Has anyone had any trouble taking the ring box through security?

I am planning on putting the ring and box in my toiletry bag packed in my carry-on.

Your quick reply is appreciated as I''m leaving tomorrow morning.

The ring box could be iffy- depends on if it has much metal in it. When they look at it in the x-ray system, if it has too much metal, it could look dense and cause them to inspect. Other than that it shouldn''t be a problem. The ring should not trigger anything.

Make sure if you are leaving them in the carry-on to go through x-ray that you keep an eagle eye on it. Also. while most airports now do not have the monitor visible to the passengers, there is the slight risk of her being able to see outlines on the monitor as it passes through....make sure she is distracted, perhaps by having her go through first, that way she will be gathering her things as yours go through.
