Ring around table?

I've heard some folks mention that you can see a ring around the table with certain cut qualities. I noticed on some of my diamond photos, you can see something that looks like it might be this 'ring' or the girdle showing up. Am I seeing that or is it just having to do with the light reflection/refraction at that angle and the reflection of certain colors around me?

It''s the girdle you are seeing and it''s because the diamond is tilted in the picture. But this happens with all round brilliants. Look at the diamond pictures in Rocky Talk and you''ll see the same phenomenon. If you have a loupe try tilting your diamond until you can see the the girdle through the table. With certain cuts proportions this reflection becomes unattractive and easily noticeable and is called "fisheye". You have a pretty diamond, nowhere close to being a fisheye. You only notice it in some pictures right?

Justin, this is really referring to leakage or the dreaded " ring of death" which is seen in steep deep diamonds, you have nothing to worry about. Your diamond is well cut and is beautiful!
