Rhodium Plating

Has anyone on this board ever hear that the rhodium plating can discolor you diamonds (temporarily?) My jeweler says
sometimes he has to double/triple clean and steam due to this problem. I wonder if there are different grades of
RP or if it gets old and causes this problem.
