Oh wow, that is surprising. I noticed that he was found in a friend's home--I wonder if he was afraid of his daughter finding him somehow. So sad for their little girl.

How awful! He did seem stable albeit boring on the show (but come on that's b/c its RHOBH). Very shocking.

Man that guy had some demons to work out. It's a shame that this is how he chose to deal with it.

I am curious how they will handle this season because IIRC, they had filmed the couple in therapy or something. I wonder what they will now air for her.

There were also allegations that he abused Taylor physically to some degree. There was a lot of negative press, but there are more serious allegations of other RH people though.

I was so shocked to hear this! I feel awful for the Armstrong family, I hope the media allows them time to grieve and process.

“Russell hit Taylor in the face so hard she had to go to Cedars Sinai hospital in June. The damage to her face was so extensive that she spent days in the hospital and had to have a plastic surgeon give her reconstructive surgery to repair what Russell did to her. She made sure Kennedy was unaware of what was going on between her parents. They had to film around her for a little while. She was miserable with Russell, but didn’t want anyone else to suffer through the pain she did."

Honestly, who knows how much further this could have gone at some point if he remained alive...
