Rhino, your GOG OMCs have got me so confused about what I want in a diamond! They are too gorgeous!

Somehow I don’t think bezeling will have too much an effect – much like a well cut RB in a bezel. Since it is a super duper cut, all the light coming from the top will be reflected back as well. I think a JM bezel (totally open sides) would be divine!

Chrono- do you have a thread on your OMC? as well. Would love to see it?
Umm...I don''t dare to start a new thread on my OMC without pictures.

I want one too... but I am on an upgrade mission with my PB and it isn''t from GOG!

Anyone know if Rhino accepts diamonds he didn''t sell as trade ups? I doubt it would be worth it if he did... mine is an ACA and I love it but I really love those cushions!
I would love to know too because mine weren''t from GOG.

Won''t hurt to ask; I think he accepts them on a consignment basis.

Hello, Jon.
1.gif
I hope you had a good 4th of July!

I just wanted to share with you what your OMC has done to my head. Ever since I was 16 (am *ahem* 31 presently), I have been mad-crazy in love with RBs and have looked forward to the day when I would get to select MY RB and set it in my ideal setting. But NOW, you''ve turned my world upside-down! These OMCs are unbelievably gorgeous, and I find myself seriously thinking about giving up on the RB idea. After 15 years! That''s half my life!
6.gif

But the thing is, they are so totally different from RBs. I have watched a bunch of your videos (love them! especially the soundtracks
1.gif
) and think they are hugely helpful, but in this particular case, it''s figuring out a personal preference sort of thing. No one else has asked you to do a video comparing an ideal cut RB with one of your OMCs, have they? I looked but didn''t see one, and I don''t feel quite right asking you to do one for me, since we are probably a couple of years away from getting my forever ring.

Anyway, the main point of this post is to emphasize to you how mind-bogglingly gorgeous your OMCs are, since they have shaken the rock-hard foundation of my love and desire for a round. I hope you''re happy, mister!

Hey Gwen,

Hope you had a great 4th too. Didn''t mean to put you in turmoil but I totally sympathize with ya.
9.gif
You know how passionate I am about the diamonds we hand select in way of rounds but I''d by lying to you if I didn''t tell you how crazy I am about these new cushions. They are entirely different yet by no means less beautiful *in any way* to H&A types diamonds (round or square). In relation to rounds ... I don''t know if its because I''ve seen so many rounds that I really enjoy something different but there are clients coming in our store and comparing these to our finest rounds and even Square H&A''s who are picking them over H&A varieties. It really depends on ones taste of course. While I do love beautifully cut rounds I am personally drawn to large bold chunky flash.
30.gif
In fact in low ambient lighting (much like the pictures Arjuna jane has taken her pictures in) I prefer them over rounds. After years of calling in cushions for clients who are looking for chunky facet/flash, these are the vision & epitome of what I''ve always wanted to see when I''d call in cushions. I know many suppliers but there are none who are producing what we are now on a consistent, diamond for diamond basis. I think I have a clip comparing what they look like to H&A rounds but I can do a dedicated comparison when I get back in tomorrow/Wed for ya. I see CCL linked ya to one in particular but there should be a dedicated comparison if I haven''t shot one.

In answer to some of the other questions in this thread.

Light performance via bezel settings. No compromise whatsoever. These compliment vintage settings like nothing else you''ve ever seen. The OEC rounds we''re working on will also look amazing in bezels too.

Trade Ins: Clients of GOG enjoy the bennies of being able to trade up what they purchased from us and getting back what they paid with absolutely no minimums on the trade up (ie. it could be as low as .50c more!) and no time stipulations. That is, if they purchased a diamond with LifeTime policies. I recently published a video on this policy outlining the details. Since we are interested in helping all people, those who have purchased diamonds elsewhere we will help of course but offer to take their diamond on consignment to sell for them in our store and via the web and they can take the funds and do with them whatever they wish (keep the money or use it towards a trade). Those who are interested I or my daughter can email them the details.

Helping the clients we have recently and particularly Arjuna I have to tell ya ... I can''t remember the last time I''ve sold a diamond over 1ct for less than 3k that I was so proud of.
5.gif
And a 2.46ct for under 10k.
37.gif
I will never forget what the client who purchased the 2ct N SI2 said to me when he came to purchase his diamond. He said .. "Everything I have read online SCREAMS not to purchase an N SI2 but after coming in and my girlfriend and I seeing it for ourselves in person ... I have no choice but to purchase the diamond she loves most. Here''s my money."

I have already determined a mens ring in my near future because these are just a fulfilled dream for me personally. Hope that helps and glad you are enjoying what you''re seeing so far. If there is any way I can be of service I''m always here for my PS fam. Thank you kindly for your sentiments Gwen.

Warm regards,

I just want to chime in that for the first time, I am confused as to what kind of diamond I want for a future e-ring. I always thought I would be a round H&A girl, but those cushions. I have been in love since Boston Jeff''s thread, and now they are easier to get.

Luckily (or not so luckily depending on how you see it), I have time. The economy needs to turn around before we can look at diamonds.

Add me to the Fan Club....I''ll be an owner, too, one of these days.....

Haha, these OMCs are all over PC! We''ve been chatting about them on LIW too...

Oooh, Rhino, can''t wait to see the ring you have in mind for yourself!
36.gif
You are going to keep us PSers in the loop on that, right?

Thank you so very much for taking the time to respond to my topic, and for checking to see if there is a dedicated comparison video between RBs and your gorgeous OMCs! That is fantastic, although it might make my brain ooze out my ears from a beauty overload.
3.gif
I hope you are absolutely beaming with pride that these incredible stones have captured the hearts of all these people already! They really are amazing.

Are you going to keep the stones in the warmer colours, or will you offer some in higher colours, do you think? I have recently been daydreaming about the perfect setting for mine when (not if; I am determined to get one!) we can get one of those babies...ahhh, bliss.

I''ve always loved OMCs, and have often wondered why no one cuts them anymore. Well, guess what? GOD exists! These newly minted OMCs are like answers to prayers. *adds ''GOG OMC'' to the top of Wish List.* Won''t be surprised if the new Asschers join the list...
