Review of VCA Sweet Alhambra Diamond Pendant

After hijacking @peppermintpatty thread for weeks, which I adore and she's so graciously allowed, I ordered a VCA Sweet Alhambra pendant, the one with diamonds.

I'm definitely a VCA newbie since I don't have a local boutique in NC or FL. Online is my only option right now.

So I saw this pendant available and ordered. Here's some deets!

First, the packaging is beyond. When I signed for it, I couldn't believe the weight. Then, beautiful boxes and boxes, and ribbons and ribbons, and many envelopes, and multiple surprises to unpack: You'd think I spent $50K instead of just under $4K with tax. They even included a travel pouch!

So, the pendant is tiny compared to the online pics, but the sparkle is just amazing. The chain comes with an extender attached, but wow, you'd need to be very petite for that! I'm 5'4, 120 lbs, and it sits about 1.5 inches under my neck. It's short!

I wanted to downsize from some large pieces I've worn for years, and this is a magical piece for that purpose. I can actually feel its presence, see the unmistakeable diamonds from across a room, and love that it's not a fixed chain, I prefer movement!

I know I'll need to be careful in the shower, I have long hair. And I think I'll only be able to clean it while it's on. I recently bought a spray called Grandma's Secret on Amazon & it's really good for quick refreshes, so I'm going to use that (no affiliation, just like it).

Although I'd love to buy larger VCA sometime, I love this piece and and it's been a great experience!

There is nothing wrong with tiny. Sometimes just a touch of something is better than something big. Don't be too surprised, I have a feeling it's going to happen a lot!

Is that...in lieu of showering? Or am I misreading? Oh, the sacrifices we make for beautiful jewelry.

LOL, I don't think that's what Grandma's secret is! But you can spray it on while wearing jewelry and just rinse with water. For all I know, it's just diluted Dawn, but it works great for quick daily use, especially for rings after being out in public grime.

I'm sorry that I'm computer challenged. Many kind posters have tried to assist. But I can assure you, this piece is really small, so small that my husband hasn't noticed it. But he hasn't noticed any of my other recent things, including replacing my wedding band with something much more wow. I don't mind that
