Hopefully this post helps someone who is trying to decide whether to go with a round or square shaped stone. I have a 1.03 carat radiant that I think is cut pretty well for a radiant. The depth is around 65% and the table is slightly smaller. It is pretty sparkly. I just received a 1.33 carat ACA from Whiteflash that obviously is cut very well. The ACA is more sparkly than the radiant, although not as much as I thought it would be. The most surprising thing is that even though the ACA is 0.3 carats bigger, it doesn''t look that much bigger than the radiant. I always thought square shaped stones appeared some much smaller than round ones, but in my view that''s not the case. I know I should post pics of this comparison, and I will at some point. But I just wanted to provide some insight to people who may be trying to decide between a round or a square stone.
