I''d not worry about sizing it until your diamond is reset into the Leon setting. Then you won''t have to worry about leaving your diamond with another jeweler. But I wouldn''t send it back to WF just for sizing. I''d just get soem kind of temporary sizing device to use until then. It seems like some of the girls have found something to use at Claire''s.
I wouldn''t say real soon. Leon''s on vacation for the next 2 weeks, and after that he''ll take 4-6 weeks to make my new setting.Date: 6/30/2007 10:50:33 PM

But you''re getting a new setting from Leon real soon right? If you are, maybe local is good enough till the new setting comes through?

if i understand correctly, you will have a new setting/ring in about 2 months? in the grand scheme, that isn''t that long.... not long enough, IMO, to risk having anything happen to your stone before it makes its voyage to its new home!! i''d just go to claire''s and get the little rubber sizer to keep it from spinning until it goes off to leon''s. just my .02.

Harriet--let me know if the plastic sizers work for you. I tried them and they didn''t do the job for me. Too bulky and not a good fit for my ring or my finger!!

Resizing a solitaire is pretty easy work and I wouldn’t expect much trouble or much of a bill from your local craftsman. If you’ve got a jeweler that you trust I would just have them size it until you get your new one from Leon.

That''s a consideration because I''d like to re-use the setting.Date: 7/1/2007 3:08:04 PM

I think you void the warantee from WF if you have someone else work on the ring. You may or may not care about this, but I thought I should mention it.
Sizing a solitaire ring is an easy job though for a local jeweler you trust.
