I''ve read all kinds of experiences about resizing platinum rings. To tell you the truth, I rather have my G/F gain weight than expose myself to plat ring butchers

But, I will give it a shot based on what I read here

This one patient here needs to go from a size 6.5 to a 5 1/4

Please share your expert advise on what to expect or ask from the metalsmith that has been recommended.

Going down more than a full ring size will be risky for the pave. If you find someone you trust to do it make sure they are real familiar with pave and that they can check for loose stones. There could be some weakening of that area.
