Resizing fee?

I''m in the process of getting my ring resized, and wanted to know what the average fee is for resizing a white gold Ering. Can anyone help me get an idea of cost?

If they are sizing down, I doubt they would need more gold. I have my rings sized from 7 down to 5.5 and it cost me $25.

Now going along with this thread I have a questions as to who you should have re-size your ring. I know that a lot of us go with out of state designers. It seems as though resizing a ring down is a fairly simple process.

Anyone have an opinion on the best way to go, with the original designer or a jeweler you trust to do the resize?

If there are diamonds on the shank it could be a lot more expensive, but if is a simple solitaire shank it will be easier. I think between $30 and $100 seems reasonable depending on how complicated the re-size is. Platinum would cost slightly more.

with most designers having anyone else resize it will void the warranty.
ask them.
