Like to look if the ring size is too big is there anything to add on the ring so that I need not to go for resize? Afraid the workmanship is not good therefore choose resizing as last piority

There are several varieties of plastic and metal inserts that go at the bottom of the shank to make it easier to wear a ring that is too big for you. Walgreens, Osco and similar stores sell them.

You could also have metal beads or "speed bumps" put on the bottom of the ring, which would be less involved than resizing the ring (if you''re worried about workmanship) but more permanent than an insert...

I don't have sizing balls in any of my rings yet, so I don't have a personal picture to show you. Check out this thread here for some sizing alternative suggestions. In this thread, someone had a picture of sizing pads, which are the same idea as sizing balls except not round. The good thing about these is that, if your finger should become bigger later, they can just be filed down as much or as little as necessary.

Go to Claire''s at your local mall & buy these clear plastic tube like things called "ring snugglers". Works super great, I always carry one with me in case of temperature changes!

I like Rosy''s idea about the ring snugglers. They are easlily removed and your are not locked into those speed bumps so to speak. They seem like they would be a little uncomfortable, but could be wrong.

The beads look like they would feel strange, but I guess you could get used to them...

The thing I like about the ring snugglers is that you can remove them as the weather gets warmer etc.. They are temporary. I would think that sizing beads would need a trip to the jeweler to be put in or taken out.

I also remember someone saying that they are also available at Target. HTH. I don''t know of any other name that they go by, sorry. Maybe plastic ring sizers??? I would google that and see what comes up. If you find out, let us know!!!

Thanks kaleigh...I'll try that (and Target too!)...If I come up with anything I'll let you know!!

UPDATE: Okay...I found them all over the web!! I've found both the plastic tubes as well as gold-tone (YG and WG tones) inserts. They aren't expensive, but here's a LINK where I found both types on the same page.

They're known as ring guards and ring size reducers...no one answered to the title "ring snugglers" though...

Of the two (metal or plastic ring sizer attachments linked above) - I would personally suggest the plastic over the metal...I had one of those metal ones once and it really scratched up the shank of my ring.

When I looked the plastic ring re-sizers up a few weeks ago they were called "ring snuggies"
It''s basically some plastic tubing cut short and slitted down one side so it can get on the ring. I used a piece of plastic tubing from my lab and used a razor blade to cut a slit so I could get it on the band. It was only a temporary fix but definitely did the trick!

No problem - I would definitely hate for this to happen to anyone else. I was pretty bummed. Even though you can clamp those things tightly onto your ring, they will move a little bit and even the teensiest movements, over the lifespan of that little metal insert (which is of course temporary), will scratch up the ring.
