resetting original 3ct oval e-ring opinions needed please

hi all,
i would like advice on resetting my oval diamond i cant make up my mind weather to go with a three stone oval with two smaller ovals on the side or a nice halo?
here are the specs:
ct: 3.01
color:J
clarity:si1
flur: mb
L TO W 1.41
L: 11.41
W:8.07
my wedding band is a 2.50ct round diamond eternity band 18diamonds little under .14 each

i want the e-ring to work with the w-band.i wish i could post a picture but all i have is mt blackberry camra so the picts dont come out clear at all.
any advice or ideas would be great .

oops, just saw your poll. out of the 2 choices I think the oval 3 stone would look better with your eternity band than a pave halo ring would.

I voted other...as I agree with Mrssalvo...the wedding band may be a difficult marriage to the halo design. If I weren''t concerned about the band, I would do a ''split shank'' halo and just wear that alone.

After Mrssalvo posted Kaleigh beautiful oval...I was reminded that I prefer ovals with half moons as as opposed to all three ovals in a 3 stone. Leon has some beautys that are 5 stones...so you really have alot of options. I think though your decision to wear the two with the size of your oval is going to limit you on your design. 3 carats takes up some realestate!

But man what a problem I would love to have! Congrats!

i voted three stone only because i think that would pair better with your wedding band. if you weren''t concerned about wearing your wband i would have said halo DEFINATELY. but then i saw the oval with half moons and it is GORGEOUS.........so i would go that route.

those half moon sidestones are beautiful. i do have to add that i dont ware the band and e-ring together all the time hardly at all either one or the other depending where i am going.
sometimes i were my w-band on a chain around my neck(closer to my heart) while my e-ring is on my ring finger.
i do want the new setting to work with my w-band but i cant decide what to do. i am in love with the tom kat ring and the jerry& rebecca ring boath oval halos but still gotta love that 3-stone.
its been a while and i still cant make up my mind so i am really thankfull for all your thaughts!

I personally would get a simple setting (no halo) with pave split shank. I think it''s very elegant and classic. Halo on a 3ct oval might be a bit much. A three stone would be imposing, and the half moons would be a nice compromise if you like big diamond looks, but want to stay classic. Either way, not sure what your preferred look really is!

I love oval halos (and I am partial because that is what my E-Ring is...) but I also love half-moon sides. I was debating this same question when I was thinking of what I wanted in an e-ring.
Half moon sides are so elegant and simple (the oval with half-moons will look gorgeous and will go with everything)
Halos are really popular right now and they are unique in their own right. I went with the halo because I was getting a non-diamond center stone (yellow sapphire) and wanted something to bring the sparkle up.
I think if I had a 3+ ct oval diamond I would go with the 3 stone look (with maybe some pave or smaller accent stones on the band).
So I will vote "other" and go with mrssalvo''s suggestion of the 3 stone w/ half moon sides

I would just have Leon Mege make the setting and find the side stones! I also think that a 3 ct. oval is too big for a halo unless you are Katie! But I''d also probably choose a split shank with no side stones if I had a stone that size and just not wear it with the eternity ring.
