Obviously 13 years ago, I don't know anything about diamonds. I got a tiffany-looking engagment ring at the jewlery store that my friend worked for, they set the stone for me (we got the stone in Hong Kong), now, 13 years later, I asked her if i can bring the stone in to check the prongs to see if they are still tight. She has the guts to tell me to use a mechanical pencil and run by them myself (WTF??)
Now I do not know where in the hell can I bring my ring to check, and in fact, I may want to have it reset so that I can have a piece of mind. If i decide to have it reset by some online vendor say brian gavin, I know he's totally trustworthy, but how do I know that rock i sent in is the rock i get back when my rock is not laser engraved or anything? I do not have any certificate whatsoever...
I have also enclose a picture of the ring for you to see if you think the shared prong full/half circle tiffany wedding band setting would be a good fit for this ring? I know without them side by side its difficult to judge, i'll add picture once i get to the shop and take pictures again.
Do you think i should have the ring re-set?
