Hello!
I''ve been gone two weeks and in that two, finally found our e-ring setting and the wedding band...wow! thanks to you guys. We got them on clearnace, of all things...insane. I saw the rings a time or two online (which, for the life of me can''t find now), and they were way out of budget. Well, at half off...
Anyways, I''m a bit concerned as they are wanting me to sign a waiver for resetting my princess cut stone into the new e-ring setting. I''m nervous! I don''t like this ''waiver'' thing. And I certainly don''t remember anyone asking me to do that before. Should I get it reset somewhere else?
The stone is NOT from the same jeweler, as that jeweler is now out of business (small business). I''ve had my stone reset two times now, one time into a ring we purchased that was going to be my wedding band/e-ring but it was defective and my stone had to be put back into my original setting. SO that is how it got reset twice.
Does this affect my diamond? teh more it gets reset the more vulnerable it is? why would I have to sign a waiver, I figure that if they screw up my ring and chip it, they should be liable for it. I wear it everyday and it hasn''t chipped. There are no ''vulnerabilities'' on the grading report...
I''m just leery...I"d love to have it reset by the same people who I purchased the rings from, but...
