Resetting a 3 stone princess

My e-ring is a 3 stone princess, 1.17 center stone and approximately .25 side stones (with lots of little diamonds in the setting). When my hubs and I got engaged last year we picked out the ring together (online) and I love it, however, we have come to the realization the craftsmanship of the ring is very poor quality. In the last year the center stone had become very loose to the point of possibly falling out, one of the diamond chips has been lost, and when I took the ring to a local jeweler to have the center stone tightened I was shocked at what I saw under the microscope when he showed me...the prongs are horribly made with gouges and dings, etc. On a positive note, although the 3 main stones are far from perfect, I love them and want to keep some type of 3 stone setting.

I've been stalking many of websites that offer ring bling and I'm pretty sure I'd like have my stones reset in a 3 stone center halo setting or 3 stone halo.

So here's my question: How much can I expect to pay for a new setting? I know the answer to that would be pretty broad but any insight would help. All pricing I've been able to find seem to include the main stone(s) or aren't compatible with princess stones. I'd like to stick with 14K white gold. (BTW, I would love to have my stones reset by the local jeweler I mentioned above but I know I wouldn't be able to afford him!)

I'm attaching a few pics of rings I like even though they are not princess cut stones. Any photos of similar rings would also be welcome!!

A setting could cost $1000 - $5000...it's a pretty big range. I think it will be difficult to find something under 1k with a halo and 3 stone setting.

You will have to find a store that will sell you the setting alone (could be online store like white flash, brian gavin, etsy, ebay, etc.) and have it set either by the vendor or by your local jeweler. Since you want something very specific, you might have to get it custom-made.

Thank you for the reply Therese. I was hoping somewhere in the $1000.00 range but really had no clue since I don't need the main diamonds. I'm leery of making another mistake buying online. I'm sure there are very reputable online jewelers out there so I will do lots more research this time around.
